Rebecca Wu

Rebecca Wu joined the NewsChannel 5 team in October 2003.  She currently co-anchors the weekend edition of “Today in St. Louis” with Cordell Whitlock and reports on the night beat during the week.

Rebecca was born in Hong Kong, but grew up in San Francisco.  She graduated from the University of California-Berkley with a degree in Rhetoric.

Rebecca’s journalism career has taken her coast to coast and to the other side of the world.  Her first TV news job was in Asia where she was a reporter and weekend anchor for the CNN International affiliate in Hong Kong.  After a year, she returned to California and became Bureau Chief for KCOY in Santa Maria.  From there, she spent three years as the education reporter at WJXT in Jacksonville, Florida. From there, she went back to the west coast as a morning reporter and fill-in co-host for KPTV in Portland.

In 2009, Wu left her position as anchor at KSDK to become the spokesperson for the FBI’s St. Louis Office.
